Most patio and wall problems come from what's underneath. We excavate to the right depth, build and compact a proper base, plan for drainage, and set every paver and block to grade. That's what keeps a patio from heaving and a wall from leaning after a few New Jersey freeze-thaw winters.

How long does a paver patio take to install?
Most residential patios take a few days to about a week once work starts, depending on size, access and any walls or steps that are part of the project. We'll give you a timeline with your quote.
Why do some patios sink or shift?
Usually it's a thin or poorly compacted base, or water that has nowhere to go. We build at least 4 inches of compacted 3/4 stone or DGA under patios (7 inches under driveways), level on 3/8 chip stone that drains, and pitch the surface away from your house.
Do I need a retaining wall?
If you have a slope that washes out, a yard that isn't usable, or soil pushing against a walkway or driveway, a retaining wall can fix it and add flat, usable space. We'll tell you honestly if a simpler fix will do.
